We pursue a variety of research topics, ranging from fundamental research to applications of geometry and dynamics in other sciences. Our core research areas include:

• Geometric structures on manifolds, e.g. real and complex projective structures
• Representations of surfaces groups and higher Teichmüller theory
• Discrete subgroups of Lie groups
• Group actions on homogeneous spaces and compactifications of (locally) homogeneous spaces
• Positive and causal structures on flag varieties
• Higgs bundles and Hitchin fibrations
• Symplectic and Contact geometry
• Hamiltonian dynamical systems
• Floer Theory and holomorphic curves
• Polyfold Theory
• Billiard-type systems and magnetic deformations
• Topological data analysis
