At the moment I mainly work on the Hofer-Zehnder capacity of twisted tangent bundles over closed surfaces. Generally I am also interested in symplectic topology or explicitly symplectic homology and related topics. I also enjoy mathematical physics and in particular the interplay of symplectic topology and physics.
From February 27- March 3, we are organizing a young researchers workshop on pseudoholomorphic curves in Hamiltonian dynamics.

I grew up and got my Abitur in Braunschweig, a medium sized city in lower saxony. When I had finished school I wanted to have a look out of the nutshell of my spoiled world and spend a year somewhere in the bushes of the north of Namibia.
When I came back I thought physics was the right thing to do and I did my Bachelor at the University of Heidelberg. During that time I was a research assistant at the Max Plank Institute for nuclear physics and gave some tutorials
at the University of Heidelberg. Even though I really enjoyed studying physics, in the end, I realized that I was more fascinated by the mathematical structures behind physics. Thus I continued my academic education with a Master in mathematics
under the supervision of JProf Gabriele Benedetti from the symplectic group at the University of Heidelberg. In January 2020, I started my PhD under the supervision of JProf Gabriele Bendedetti, too.
My PhD position is part of the RTG 2229- Asymptotic Invariants and Limits of Groups and Spaces .
Maybe a few words about being a women - working in natural science, it is a little lonely from time to time. In Heidelberg, we have this great network for women in science called UPSTREAM. So in case you are female and thinking about studying natural science or already studying/ working in this field,

Besides math I really love sports. I have been playing soccer and field hockey basically all my life. The picture shows me wearing my favorite colours (Eintracht Braunschweig), but these days I play soccer at ASV Eppelheim and hockey at HC Heidelberg.
