CFT 2011

We will present our recent result on the regularity of vertex operator algebras. That is, if any Z-graded weak module for a vertex operator algebra V is completely reducible, then V is rational and C_{2}-cofinite. This gives a natural characterization of regular vertex operator algebras. The result can be regarded as the first step in proving a well known conjecture: rationality implies the C_2-cofiniteness.
