„Drinfeld modules: analogs of elliptic curves“
Prof. Urs Hartl, Universität Münster

Zusammenfassung: In complex analysis one studies functions which are periodic with respect to a lattice inside the complex numbers. These functions belong to the theory of elliptic curves. We present an analog of this theory for function fields in which the complex numbers are replaced by a complete algebraically closed field of positive characteristic. The analogs of elliptic curves arising in this way are called Drinfeld modules.
