Their Veech groups are important invariants which capture a lot of information about the geometry and the dynamics of the surface. In the last ten years a particular interest has developed in infinite translation surfaces. One of the nicest and most surprising infinite translation surfaces is the baker's map surface also called Chamanara surface. It has infinite genus, a wild singularity but finite area. Its Veech group was calculated by Chamanara. The generators can be explicitly given. What happens if you take finite covers of it? We study the Veech groups that arise in this way. Dienstag, den 25.
