Die endlichen scharf 2-fach transitiven Gruppen wurden von Zassenhaus in den 1930er Jahren klassifiziert. Sie enthalten alle einen abelschen Normalteiler. Bis vor kurzem blieb die Frage offen, ob das auch fuer unendliche scharf 2-fach transitive Gruppen gilt. Ich werde im Vortrag erklaeren, wie man scharf 2-fach transitive Gruppen ohne abelsche Normalteiler konstruieren kann. ************** The finite sharply 2-transitive groups were classified by Zassenhaus in the 1930ies. They all contain an abelian normal subgroup. Until recently it remained an open problem whether the same holds in the infinite setting. In my talk I will explain how to construct sharply 2-transitive groups without abelian normal subgroups.
